We're Off and running

What a great day it turned out to be after the morning fog burned off.  Today, the Lindens and Doyles were going to travel with a number of Minuteman Model A members to Manchester, VT to attend the annual antique car show hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce.  The southern group (that was us) left Sudbury and traveled to Peterborough, NH to meet up with the northern group, where we all then caravaned to Brattleboro, VT for a picnic lunch at the park.  The scenic roads and the beautiful weather made for a pleasant trip to our lunch stop.

Following lunch, the group went different ways.  Our group followed Wayne to visit The Vermont Country Store in Weston, VT.  This place is famous for its wide selection of old fashion household items and ships mail order stuff all over the world. We had a great time shopping, heck Nan even found a unique horse swing made out of a single car tire for the twins.  We haven't been gone a day and she is already filling up the Model A.  Fortunately OB said there was room in the woodie for it, so he will bring back home for us.

From Weston, we took the very scenic RT 100 and 11 to Manchester and the roads were very Model A friendly.  BUT, we could see trouble brewing in the skies.  Boy those clouds were looking pretty dark.  Well, fortunately we managed to stay away from the rain until we got to downtown Manchester.  We checked into the Aspen and got settled just before another thunder shower passed through the area.  Fortunately no hail with this one.

After a pleasant day of Model A'ing we settled in for the night.
