Great Day of Model A'ing

The storms of Friday were gone, but we still had a little fog as we headed out for breakfast with the O'Brien's.  We were soon joined by George & Debbie, Wayne, JJ & Shirley and Dick & Mazie.  Breakfast was great, but soon we were on the show field to see what kind of rare items we could find in the flea market.  I decided to start a collection of vintage number plates of all the states we have driven the Model A.  I started with Ohio, Kansas and Washington.  They will look good tacked on the garage wall.

All the cars looked pretty good lined up on the field.  Dennis Gage of the "My Classic Car Show" was on the field doing some filming for a future show.  I tried to get him to do a spot on our trip to Marquette, but he seemed to be more interested in doing segments on the cars.

One side note, the Rolls Royce Club asked the O'Briens and Marshall/Smiths if they would be interested having their Woodies  join their club on a special tour of some of the classic Inns in the area.  Bruce & Cookie decided to take them up on the invitation.  I'm not sure if this was a Black Tie event or not?? But they did report they had a good time.

Some outlet shopping followed a late lunch.  Thankfully the ladies couldn't find a lot to buy.  Back at the Aspen we had our usual deck cocktail party followed by a great dinner at Mulligan's.

Tomorrow, the Lindens and Doyles will bid bon voyage the group as we head west into NY.

  1. That would have been a major fine if you got on "My Classic Car"! :)
